April 30th

A week of no sun and almost constant showers have kept the flowers in hiding.  There were a few stalwarts though, like this lone yellow Crocus.

We didn't see any last year, and it seems to be the only one around.  There seems to be lots just ready to go though.  Our Crabapples are full of buds.

The Daffodils are starting to open

Our two large Rhododendron bushes are about to flower too.

I think these are Tulips coming up through the leaves, there are 3 places that had Tulips last year that have growth like this right now.

We have a HUGE Forsythia bush that is crazy loaded with buds.  It barely bloomed last year, but I have high hopes for a 15 foot tall by 20 foot across pile of bright yellow flowers this year.
